Bird Watching Video: Identify The Northern Mockingbird
In this short video clip an expert discusses how plant life can attract birds, and how the multi floral rose plant attracts the northern mockingbird. He displays a multi floral rose plant, and discusses how to identify the plant by its flowers during the blooming season, and by its red berries or hips during the winter. He goes on to explain that the multi floral rose plant is invasive and tends to outcompete native plants, but that it is also attractive to northern mockingbirds for its ability to support their large nests and provide winter food in the form of rose hips.
