Video of How to Use Audio Devices to Learn Bird Sounds

In this short video clip a birding expert describes the use of cassette recorders and ipods to listen to and in some cases record bird songs. This expert displays a tape recorder capable of both playing and recording bird songs, but also explains that birdsongs are readily available for download to ipod style devices. He suggests that birders use these devices to become more familiar with identifying birds by the songs they sing, and also to try playing the songs out loud to attract birds into the open where they can be more easily observed.
